Will’s longtime career as an advocate for ecosystems and the rights of other animals has spanned decades, species, and borders. His advocacy for the rights of other animals—captive, domesticated, and wild—as individuals and as a species reflects his dedication to justice and nonviolence while not forgetting our fellow humans. He has worked for various nonprofit organizations with the goal of leaving no species or ecosystem behind.

Over the past decade, Will has focused on the plight of elephants in captivity, particularly those tormented and forced to perform in circuses. He wants to break the cycle of parents taking their children to circuses generation after generation, where circus deceptions camouflage cruelty. He authored Green Vegans/The New Human Ecology, represented organizations at state, federal, and international conventions, a federal task force, and is currently a Director and Advisor to Terramar Research.

Will holds a BS in Management and Communication. “A longtime vegan, Will is happily married to Hal and shares their Seattle home with their beloved felines, Moo and Talulah.”
